Stacy Allen

Stacy joined the team at The Children’s Garden in January 2018.  She graduated from St. Cloud State University with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education, and a Pre-Kindergarten Licensure.

Stacy has over 30 years of experience working with children and youth. She spent 18 years employed by the Burnsville, MN school district.  While there she taught preschool, led summer programming for junior high students and coordinated the district’s school-age child care program.  After leaving the school district, Stacy spent 5 years serving as the Children’s Ministry Director at a church also in Burnsville, MN.

Stacy moved to Portland in July of 2009.  Prior to coming to The Children’s Garden, she served as Principal at a private Mandarin immersion school.

Stacy believes strongly that adults have a responsibility to be a positive influence in the lives of every child they encounter.  Being a part of the lives of many children over the years has been a great privilege

Stacy has two children, one of which has followed her into the field of education.  She recently became a grandmother—to the cutest little girl ever!  In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, reading, being outdoors, wine tasting and taking in every Broadway musical that comes to town.
